Thoughts on My Film: Introspection
Unrelated to my CCR, I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about the filmmaking process and, as a result, my film in and of itself. While my favorite part of the process was definitely editing it digitally, there were still moments where I was only motivated by the need to be done. I do think the quality of my film potentially suffered as a result of this- decisions, though thought out, maybe could have been handled with more tact and care, had I felt as passionate as I did about it in the beginning.
Honestly, it really helps me respect filmmakers on a new level. The amount that they have to manage, and the effort that some put in is something I admire especially as an artist- because filmmaking is an art, just one new to me, and one that I think, if given the chance, I could give a better shot at in the future. I take this entire experience as one of learning: I definitely have room to grow in plenty of areas, and making this film was very eye-opening in that regard.
